Scientist II, Discovery Chemistry

Cayman is seeking candidates for the position Scientist II. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new ideas; designing new synthetic routes and fulfilling related experiments; developing new products; analyzing various experimental data; performing relevant tests and validations; and providing final compounds within specified deadlines. Will work with minimal guidance, drawing on years of experience in the field.

Preferred minimum qualifications include a MS or PhD in Chemistry with at least 10 or 5 years of relevant lab experience in multistep organic synthesis, respectively. Must work with a high level of independence, have good organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize work. Must communicate clearly and effectively. Proficient computer skills are essential, including ChemDraw.

Associate Scientist I, R&D Antibody

Cayman Chemical is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Scientist I with our R&D Antibody Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for production and QC testing of Cayman biochemical products. With moderate independence, will perform standard procedures to fulfill production demands as well as assist in the development of new assays and kits. Will participate in group projects and share duties. Specialized responsibilities may be assigned according to previous experiences associated with protein chemistry or antibody production and development.

Preferred minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in the Life Sciences or Chemistry with at least 2 years of relevant lab experience or a Master's degree in the Life Sciences. Must be able to work on production and/or R&D projects with moderate independence. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and prioritize tasks. Attention to detail, good organizational skills and ability to do general lab calculations are a must. Strong computer skills are essential. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and assist in job duties desired.

Cayman Chemical is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant II with our Protein Expression/Purification Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for some production and QC testing of Cayman’s protein products. With moderate independence, will perform standard procedures to fulfill production demands as well as assist in the development of new protein and assays. Will participate in group projects and share duties. Within this position an employee may hold specialized responsibilities in Protein Expression.

Temporary Scientist for Non-Profit

Non-profit organization is seeking candidates for a short-term project that will center on growing primary cancer cells in culture. The candidate must exhibit highly advanced tissue culture skills. Candidate will have a Ph.D. in cell biology or related field. Additional post-doctoral experience is preferred.
