Description

Antigen: mouse COX-1 amino acids 274-288 (LMRYPPGVPPERQMA) · Host: rabbit · Application(s): WB and IHC · COX-1 is responsible for the production of prostaglandins essential for the normal function of many organs including the stomach and kidney.1 COX-1 is generally described as being constitutively expressed, although COX-1 expression is regulated developmentally and in response to a variety of other stimuli.2,3,4,5 Mouse COX-1 has a molecular weight of 70,000 and is expressed in nearly all tissues of the body.6,1
