This probe is used for the detection of rabbit cytochrome P450 IIC2 mRNA. Rabbit cytochrome P450 IIC2 is an arachidonic acid-selective epoxygenase that catalyzes the metabolism of arachidonic acid to 11,12- and 14,15-EpETrEs (ratio of 1.5:1).¹ This enzyme is one of many phenobarbital-induced enzymes found in rabbit and rat. Rabbit cytochrome P450 IIC2 is 88% homologous to rabbit cytochrome P450 IIC1.^2,3
