Kit Recommendations for Nitrate/Nitrite Kit

Relative proportions of nitrate and nitrite within a sample are variable. Therefore, the best index of total NO production is the sum of both of these products. The colorimetric kit is the most popular assay. The fluorometric kit is highly sensitive and most suited to detect low levels of nitrate and nitrite. The colorimetric (LDH method) version of the nitrate/nitrite assay kit is capable of analyzing nitrate and nitrite from in vitro NOS assays in which excess NADPH is present.
