• See all kit recommendationsThe half-life to LTC4 in plasma is less than 10 minutes, with rapid conversion to LTD4 and LTE4 occurring in the lung. Thus, plasma samples are not recommended for use with Cayman’s LTC4 EIA kit. The Cysteinyl Leukotriene Express EIA Kit, which measures LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4, is better suited for multiple sample types. Normal human urine contains low, but detectable levels of LTE4.
