Kit Recommendations for Lipid Peroxidation

Measuring lipid peroxidation can be accomplished with three diverse assay kits from Cayman. A well-established industry standard, TBARS, measures MDA, a decomposition product of unstable lipid hydroperoxides. The LPO kit measures hydroperoxides directly through a redox reaction with ferrous ions. Alternatively, the 8-Isoprostane EIA identifies a stable end-product of lipid peroxidation.
