Most TXB2 measured in urine is of renal origin and does not represent systemic TXB2 formation, thus selecting an appropriate assay for TXB2 is dependent on your application. Thromboxane metabolites, 11-dehydro TBX2 and 2,3 dinor TBX2 are better suited for systemic TXB2 detection in urine samples.
