Keep an AChE up your sleeve

Electric eel Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is the world's fastest labeling enzyme with a turnover rate of 64,000 per second per tetramer. That's seven times faster than Alkaline Phosphatase. Avidin AChE can be used with any Biotin-based assay in any format you choose. For a sensitive, flexible, and fast assay, Avidin AChE is the obvious choice.

• Available in 10 milliliter to 1 liter quantities

Avidin-AChE is an adaptable, polyfunctional detection reagent that functions as a tracer in any assay that utilizes biotin. For instance, if your current assay uses avidin-HRP to detect a biotinylated antibody, you can simply substitute Avidin AChE for Avidin HRP. Detection of the new Avidin-AChE tracer is accomplished with Ellman's reagent substrate, with a colorimetric readout at 405-415 nm.
