Kirk M. Maxey, MD - President, Chief Executive Officer
MD, University of Michigan ~ BS Chemistry, Colorado State University
After receiving his BS in organic chemistry from Colorado State, Dr. Maxey worked as a medicinal chemist at the Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He entered medical school at the University of Michigan in 1980, and after graduation, dedicated his full attention to Cayman Chemical, a research biochemical company he started while still a medical student. Dr. Maxey has been a consultant and expert witness for multiple pharmaceutical companies, as well as a contributing editor and reviewer for Prostaglandins and Other Lipid Mediators.

James M. Militello - Chief Financial Officer
BBA Accounting, Michigan State University, Certified Public Accountant-State of Michigan
Mr. Militello joined Cayman Chemical in August, 2009. Prior to Cayman, he was CFO at National Archive Publishing Company, and has held senior financial positions with the Thomson Corporation, CoreComm Limited (formerly Voyager.Net., Inc.), Bell & Howell, and Baxter International Inc. He provides global oversight for all financial operations, as well as purchasing, inventory control, and shipping.

Jeffrey K. Johnson, PhD - Vice President, Biochemistry

Dr. Johnson joined Cayman Chemical in 1993 as a Research Scientist. During his tenure at Cayman he has served in various management roles, including Biochemistry Manager and Director, Technical Marketing and Services. Dr. Johnson was promoted to Vice President, Biochemistry in 2003 and provides strategic and technical direction for both current and long-range biochemistry products.

Gregory W. Endres, PhD - Vice President, Chemistry
PhD, Organic Chemistry, Wayne State University ~ BS Cellular and Molecular Biology, University of Michigan
Dr. Endres joined Cayman in 1995 as an Organic Chemist in the Research Chemistry Department. Following completion of his graduate studies, he worked at UCB Pharma in Cambridge, MA. He returned to Cayman in 2004 as a Research Scientist, and was later promoted to Manager, Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Endres was promoted to Vice President, Chemistry in 2009 and has oversight responsibilities for the chemistry department, which includes research, production, and GMP manufacturing.

Shannon M. Stacey - Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs
BS Chemistry, University of Michigan
Ms. Stacey began her career with Cayman in 1994 in the Quality Assurance Department. She was promoted to Manager, Quality Assurance in 1997, and later became Manager, Quality & Technical Information. In 2004, Ms. Stacey was promoted to Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs where she oversees GMP Quality Assurance & Quality Control, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Technical Information.

Gilles Chambournier, PhD - Director, Process Chemistry and GMP Chemistry

Dr. Chambournier joined Cayman in 2004 as a Senior Research Scientist, after working at Abbott Laboratories in Process Chemisty. He has held various management positions at Cayman, including Manager of Process Chemistry and Manager, Process Chemistry & GMP. He was promoted into his current position in 2009, and is responsible for providing technical direction for the development and manufacture of new chemical processes for bulk non-GMP products, as well as oversight of the GMP manufacturing operations.

Joseph A. Sheridan - Director, Information Technology
BS, Management Information Systems, Lawrence Technological University
Mr. Sheridan joined Cayman in 2011 as Director of IT. Prior to Cayman, he was Technology Director at MERS of Michigan. Previously he held a similar position with MHA Insurance Company. He provides global oversight for information technology services at Cayman, including application development, network management, enterprise architecture, and systems backup and recovery.
