Fentanyl (Item No. 14719) is a synthetic opioid analgesic that is abused recreationally.1 para-Fluorofentanyl (p-FF; Item No. 15496) is an analog of fentanyl that more potently activates the human μ opioid receptor (EC50s = 4.2 and 28.8 nM, respectively).2 Both fentanyl and p-FF are federally regulated compounds in the United States. para-Fluorobutyryl fentanyl (p-FBF) is an analog of p-FF in which a butyryl group replaces a terminal ethyl group. The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound are not known. This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
