The Q-Plex™ kits have a luminescent output. Standard absorbance-based plate readers, typically used for ELISA kits, cannot measure the output of these kits. Each well of these assays contains a matrix of antibodies designed to capture multiple signals from each well. Therefore, even a luminescent plate reader may not be able to capture multiple signals.
