It is our responsibility to monitor current trends and rapidly develop standards necessary for the early detection of NPS. Listen as Danielle St. Germaine, a synthetic organic chemist in Cayman’s Forensic Chemistry Division, discusses new analogues that have appeared recently on the grey marketplace and addresses common naming. Her presentation will focus on common naming and EI-MS fragmentation of new phencyclidine and ketamine analogues. She will also present a quick snap shot of recent hallucinogen, stimulant, opioid, and benzodiazepine NPS observed from 2020-2021.
