Faster Quantitation Workflow with 10-analyte Phytocannabinoid Mixture

Article from 2017-06-09

Cayman Chemical just released Phytocannabinoid Mixture 10 (CRM), a quantitative, multi-analyte mixture for use as an analytical standard in the simultaneous detection of the ten most prevalent phytocannabinoids found in Cannabis plants: cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), tetrahydrocannabinolic acid A (THCA-A), Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ8-THC), and (±)-cannabichromene (CBC).

The Phytocannabinoid Mixture 10 (CRM) was designed in conjunction with Shimadzu Scientific Instruments for use on their Cannabis Analyzer for Potency™ to make phytocannabinoid quantitation as efficient and error free as possible. Whether used with the Cannabis Analyzer for Potency™ or with other HPLC, LC-MS, or GC-MS instrumentation, this CRM mixture can serve as a quantitative analytical reference standard during routine analytical checks, Cannabis product quality testing and profiling, academic Cannabis research, or other forensic testing.

This mixture has been manufactured under ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ISO Guide 34:2009 specifications and is formulated as an exempt preparation to meet criteria established by the US DEA. Possession of a US DEA Controlled Substance registration is not necessary, nor is a DEA 222 form required to purchase this product.

The Phytocannabinoid Mixture 10 (CRM) is available from Cayman or through Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. Ideas for additional multi-analyte mixtures for different compounds can be shared with Cayman’s sales or technical support teams at sales@caymanchem.com or techserv@caymanchem.com.
