    Product Description

    PC190723 is an inhibitor of bacterial FtsZ, a homolog of mammalian β-tubulin.1 It is active against B. subtilis, S. epidermidis, S. hemolyticus, and S. aureus, including methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and multidrug-resistant S. aureus (MDRSA; MICs = 0.5-1 µg/ml). PC190723 (10 and 30 mg/kg) increases survival in a mouse model of lethal S. aureus infection.
