    Product Description

CA-074 methyl ester is a cell-permeable inhibitor of cathepsin B and L in vivo and in whole cells.1,2 The methyl ester is hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases releasing the active inhibitor, CA-074. This compound has primarily been used to study the role of cathepsin B in neurodegeneration, cancer cell metastasis, necrosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.3,4,5,6
