    GSK180 is an inhibitor of kynurenine 3-monooxygenase (IC50 = 6.3 nM).1 It is selective for human over P. fluorescens kynurenine 3-monooxygenase (IC50 = 500 nM). GSK180 (27 mg/kg) increases circulating levels of kynurenine and kynurenic acid in mice.2 It protects against secondary acute lung injury and renal injury in a rat model of experimentally induced acute pancreatitis multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (AP-MODS).
