    Perindopril is an orally active angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that effectively lowers blood pressure.1,2 It is a prodrug that is metabolized to perindoprilat (Item No. 17574), a specific, competitive inhibitor of ACE (IC50 = 1.5-3.2 nM in vitro).3
