    N-Butylfluorescein is a fluorescent compound that displays excitation/emission maxima of 467/512 nm, respectively.1 It has been used in the synthesis of butyl fluorescein myo-inositol phosphate (butyl FLIP), a fluorogenic substrate of phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC).2
