    KR-33493 is an inhibitor of Fas-associated factor 1 (FAF1).1,2 It inhibits chemical hypoxia-induced apoptosis in H9c2 cardiomyocytes and hydrogen peroxide-induced cell death in SH-SY5Y cells when used at a concentrations of 10 and 20 μM, respectively.2,3 KR-33493 (20 mg/kg per day) reduces decreases in striatal dopamine transporter activity in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease induced by MPTP.1
