    Product Description

    Testosterone decanoate (Item No. 22544) is an analytical reference standard categorized as an anabolic androgenic steroid that can be detected in urine, blood, and hair.1,2,3. It is an ester of the naturally occurring androgen, testosterone (Item Nos. 15645 | ISO60154) with a longer half-life. Testosterone decanoate reduces mortality and proteinuria in a murine model of lupus.4 Formulations containing testosterone decanoate in combination with etonogestrel (Item No. 21062) have been investigated for use as a long-acting male contraceptive.5 Anabolic steroids, including testosterone decanoate, have been used to enhance physical performance in racehorses and athletes.2,6 This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
