Explore how neutrophils shape the immune response in health and disease. This poster highlights neutrophil pathogen defense mechanisms, including phagocytosis, degranulation, and NETosis, as well as neutrophil roles in inflammation and NET-associated pathologies.
DOWNLOAD NOWParomomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is effective against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria (MICs = 0.08-3.9 µg/ml).1 It also has antiprotozoal properties and decreases the parasite burden of mice infected with the leishmanial strain L. tropica when administered at doses of 50 mg/kg and 15 mg/kg, through intramuscular or intralesional routes, respectively.2 Paromomycin binds to the tRNA decoding A site of the 16S ribosomal RNA in bacteria, inducing a conformational change that disrupts translation and inhibits protein synthesis.3
