    n-Nonyl-β-D-glucopyranoside is an anionic alkylglucoside chiral surfactant that is commonly used for the solubilization and crystallization of biological membrane proteins.1 It has also been used in the separation of drug enantiomers by micellar electrokinetic chromatography.2
