Histone H2AX (134-143) is a C-terminal peptide fragment of histone H2AX that corresponds to amino acid residues 134-143 of the human histone H2AX sequence. Histone H2AX (134-143) is an evolutionarily conserved motif that differentiates histone H2AX from other H2A histones.1 It contains a serine residue that is rapidly phosphorylated upon introduction of DNA double-strand breaks and initiation of DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
1. Initiation of DNA fragmentation during apoptosis induces phosphorylation of H2AX histone at serine 139. The Journal of Biological Chemisty 275(13), 9390-9395 (2000).
