Dihydroxy melphalan is an inactive degradation product of melphalan (Item No. 16665).1,2 It is formed by the hydrolysis of melphalan via the intermediate monohydroxy melphalan (Item No. 27856) in aqueous solutions, including cell culture medium and human plasma.
