    Product Description

    Short-chain Fatty Acid Mixture 1 contains six short-chain, water-soluble fatty acids: acetic, propionic, isobutryic, n-butyric, isovaleric, and n-valeric. It is intended for use as a reference standard for the detection of these short-chain fatty acids in various sample types by GC-FID, GC-MS, or LC-MS. For some applications, derivatization may be required. This mixture is supplied in an amber ampule in which the headspace has been purged with argon to prevent lipid oxidation. [Matreya, LLC.
