Carnaubadiol is a triterpene that has been found in E. corollata and has antiprotozoal activities.1,2 It is active against L. infantum promastigotes and amastigotes, as well as T. cruzi trypomastigotes (IC50s = 46.2, 7.8, and 14.9 µM, respectively).2
