    6-Chloro-3-indolyl-β-D-glucuronide is a chromogenic substrate for β-glucuronidase.1 Upon cleavage by β-glucuronidase, an insoluble salmon precipitate is formed that can be used in histochemical analysis of β-glucuronidase activity.
