    Product Description

Cytokeratin 19 is a type I epithelial intermediate filament protein.1 It is composed of a central rod containing four α-helical domains, which are important for self-assembly, and non-helical head and tail domains at the N- and C-termini, respectively. Cytokeratin 19 is expressed in bile duct epithelial cells and non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelial cells, as well as other epithelial cells.2 Cytokeratin 19 is associated with a variety of cancers, including salivary gland, lung, and thyroid papillary carcinomas and various gastrointestinal cancers.3 The presence of cytokeratin 19 in tumor tissue from patients with hepatocellular carcinoma is associated with reduced recurrence-free and overall survival.4 Cayman’s Cytokeratin 19 (C-Term) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM364) can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western blot (WB) applications.
