Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF1) is a member of the NKX2 transcription factor family.1,2 It is expressed in the thyroid, pulmonary epithelium, and hypothalamus, and localized to the nucleus, where it functions as a lineage regulator inducing tissue-specific gene expression.1,3 TTF1 is expressed in the majority of lung adenocarcinomas, acting as a lineage survival oncogene.2 However, it also functions as a tumor suppressor and is positively correlated with favorable outcomes in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).2,3 TTF1 is expressed in some breast and ovarian cancers and is correlated with high grade and poorer disease-specific survival, respectively.3 Cayman’s TTF1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM373) can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western blot (WB) applications.
