    Product Description

    Helicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative bacterium that can infect and colonize the stomach, leading to chronic gastritis, stomach inflammation and oxidative stress, peptic ulcer disease, and gastric cancer.1 H. pylori expresses greater than 30 outer membrane proteins (OMPs) on the surface of its outer membrane encoded by two gene families, helicobacter outer membrane porins (hop) and hop-related (hor).2,3,4 OMPs have roles in H. pylori attachment and colonization, the expression of pathogenic factors, antibiotic resistance, and maintenance of the outer membrane integrity. Cayman’s Helicobacter pylori OMP Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM410) can be used for ELISA. The antibody recognizes a 23 kDa OMP.
