4'-Acetyl Chrysomycin B is a bacterial metabolite and derivative of chrysomycin B (Item No. 14189) that has been found in Streptomyces and has antibacterial and anticancer activities.1 It is active against strains of B. subtilis, B. cereus, Corynebacterium bovis, and E. faecalis (MICs = 2-64 µg/ml). 4'-Acetyl Chrysomycin B is cytotoxic against a panel of human cancer cell lines, including doxorubicin-sensitive or -resistant cells (IC50s = 1.7-14 and 260-370 ng/ml, respectively).
