Eledoisin-related peptide is a hexapeptide fragment of eledoisin (Item No. 28810), an undecapeptide tachykinin neuropeptide and neurokinin (NK) receptor agonist.1,2,3 It induces contractions in isolated guinea pig ileum, as well as α-amylase release from rat parotid gland slices, in a concentration-dependent manner.4 Intrathecal administration of eledoisin-related peptide (1.25-10 µg/animal) reduces tail flick latency in the hot plate test.5
