    Product Description

Ardisiacrispin A is a triterpene saponin that has been found in Myrsine australis and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3 It inhibits the cytopathic effects of poliovirus type I and herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) in the filter paper disk assay when used at a concentration of 40 µg/disk and is active against various Candida species (MICs = 80-160 µg/ml).1,2 Ardisiacrispin A (10 and 13 µM) induces apoptosis in HepG2 cells.3 It induces contractions in rat uterus preparations when used at a concentration of 7.5 µM.2
