    Product Description

Sophoraflavanone G is a flavonoid that has been found in S. flavescens and has diverse biological activities.1,2,3,4 It is active against 21 strains of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA; MICs = 3.13-6.25 µg/ml) and inhibits the activities of α-glucosidase and β-amylase (Kis = 5.6 and 30.6 µM, respectively).1,2 Sophoraflavanone G is cytotoxic to HL-60 and HepG2 cancer cells (IC50s = 12.5 and 13.3 µM, respectively) and induces apoptosis in HL-60 cells when used at concentrations of 10 or 25 µM.3 It reduces LPS-induced production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2; Item No. 14010) in RAW 264.7 cells when used at concentrations ranging from 1 to 50 µM.4 Sophoraflavanone G (250 mg/kg) inhibits carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats.
