It is a potential impurity in the synthesis of 4-methylmethcathinone. 3-Methylmethcathinone has been associated with hospitalizations for mono-intoxication and overdose fatality in combination with other compounds.1 3-Methylmethcathinone-d3 is regulated as a Schedule I compound in the United States.
