    Product Description

ICI 63197 is an inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 3 (PDE3) and PDE4 (Kis = 9 and 10 µM, respectively).1 It is selective for PDE3 and PDE4 over PDE1 and PDE2 (Kis = 487 and >1,000 µM, respectively). ICI 63197 inhibits acetylcholine-induced bronchospasm in isolated guinea pig lungs and histamine-induced bronchospasm in conscious guinea pigs.2 It decreases motor activity and rectal temperature and induces forepaw shaking, head twitches, and grooming in rats in a dose-dependent manner.3
