AKOS B018304 is an arylalkylidene derivative of 1,3-thiazolidin-4-one.1 It inhibits the binding of ΔFosB to an oligonucleotide containing the activator protein-1 (AP-1) consensus site, Cdk5-AP-1, in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 10.1 µM).2 AKOS B018304 (12.5 µM) induces ΔFosB- and ΔFosB/JunD-mediated gene transcription in a reporter assay using Neuro2a cells.
