Ginkgolic acid C17:1 is a phenolic acid that has been found in G. biloba with antibacterial and anticancer activities.1,2 It inhibits enterohemorrhagic E. coli O157:H7 (EHEC) biofilm formation when used at a concentration of 5 µg/ml.1 Ginkgolic acid C17:1 (50 µM) inhibits JAK2 phosphorylation and STAT3 activation in, and reduces the viability of, U266 cells.2
