    Product Description

    4E2RCat is an inhibitor of the protein-protein interaction between eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E) and eIF4G (IC50 = 13.5 µM).1 It reduces mRNA translation without inducing apoptosis in L-132 cells when used at a concentration 12.5 µM. 4E2RCat (6 µM) decreases intracellular and extracellular severe acute respiratory coronavirus (SARS-COV) titers and the percentage of cells expressing spike glycoprotein, also known as surface glycoprotein, in SARS-COV-infected L-132 cells.
