n-Dodecyl-β-D-glucopyranoside is a nonionic detergent.1 It has a critical micelle concentration (CMC) of 190 µM.1 It increases chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) activity when used at a concentration of 204 µM. n-Dodecyl-β-D-glucopyranoside inhibits the uptake of β-methyl glucoside in hamster small intestine in vitro (Ki = 200 µM).2
