    Salcaprozate is an intestinal permeation enhancer.1 It increases jejunal accumulation of the bioactive antioxidant peptide PW5 in vitro in a non-everted rat gut sac model. In vivo, salcaprozate increases plasma concentrations of orally administered human parathyroid hormone (1-34) in pigs.2
