    C-87 is an inhibitor of TNF-α.1 It binds to TNF-α and reduces the levels of phosphorylated JNK, prevents TNF-α-induced IκBα degradation, and inhibits TNF-α-induced cytotoxicity (IC50 = 8.73 µM) in L-929 cells. It reduces liver inflammation and injury, as well as increases survival, in a mouse model of acute hepatitis induced by LPS and galactosamine (GalN) when administered at a dose of 12.5 mg/kg.
