    Eprobemide is an inhibitor of monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A).1 It reduces immobility time in a modified version of the forced swim test in rats when administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg.2 Formulations containing eprobemide have previously been used in the treatment of depression.
