    CTP354 is a deuterated derivative of the GABAA receptor modulator L-838,417.1 It binds to the GABAA receptor benzodiazepine binding site in non-α1 subunit-containing GABAA receptors. CTP354 has a longer duration of action than L-838,417 in a rat model of neuropathic pain induced by sciatic nerve ligation.
