    Product Description

    GSK1940029 is a stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD) inhibitor.1 It increases palmitate-induced phosphorylation of p70 ribosomal S6 kinase 1 (p70S6K1) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release from AML12 hepatocytes when used at a concentration of 20 µM.2 GSK1940029 (10 µM) also increases palmitate-induced increases in extracellular and intracellular triglyceride levels in AML12 hepatocytes, an effect that can be reversed by the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor torin 1 (Item No. 10997).
