    Product Description

BimS BH3 (51-76) is a peptide that corresponds to amino acids 51-76 of the short splice variant of the pro-apoptotic protein Bim (BimS), which contains the Bcl-2 homology 3 (BH3) motif.1 It binds to myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1), Bcl-xL, Bcl-2, and Bcl-W (IC50s = 18, 10, 7, and 18 nM, respectively). BimS BH3 (51-76) induces cytochrome c release from mitochondria derived from bcl-x-/- mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).
