    Product Description

    Chlorazanil (hydrochloride) (Item No. 37238) is an analytical reference standard categorized as a diuretic.1 Chlorazanil has been found as a potential doping agent in urine samples from athletes. However, chlorazanil can be formed from proguanil in the urine under physiological conditions, and the athletes had taken a formulation containing proguanil and atovaquone used in the prevention and treatment of malaria. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
