    BL 1249 is an activator of mechanosensitive two-pore domain potassium channels (K2P).1 It selectively induces currents in Xenopus oocytes expressing K2P2.1/TREK-1 or K2P10.1/TREK-2 over Xenopus oocytes expressing K2P4.1/TRAAK, K2P3.1/TASK1, K2P3.2/TASK2, K2P3.3/TASK3, K2P18.1/TRESK, K2P13.1/THIK1, or K2P1.1/TWIK-1 at 10 µM.
