Fz25 is a triazole-modified sterol and an anticancer agent.1 It inhibits the proliferation of A2780 ovarian and HT-29 colorectal cancer cells (IC50s = 15.29 and 15.98 µM, respectively). Fz25 decreases the phosphorylation of EGFR and STAT3 in A2780 cells when used at a concentration of 30.58 µM and phosphorylation of ERK, STAT3, and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) in HT-29 cells at 31.96 µM. It reduces the efflux activity of P-glycoprotein (P-gp), also known as multidrug resistance protein 1 (MDR1), in a reporter assay using HEK293 cells when used at a concentration of 10 µM.
