cRIPGBM is an active metabolite of the anticancer prodrug RIPGBM (Item No. 27860).1 It is formed from RIPGBM selectively in GBM1 glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cancer stem cells (CSCs) over primary human lung fibroblasts (HLFs). cRIPGBM induces apoptosis in GBM1 cells (EC50 = 68 nM). It binds to receptor-interacting serine/threonine kinase 2 (RIPK2) in a cell-free assay, as well as inhibits the interaction between RIPK2 and TGF-β-activated kinase 1 (TAK1) and promotes the interaction between RIPK2 and caspase-1 in GBM1 cells.
